A monstrous superhot pepper born from a vicious cross between the Carolina Reaper and other high-heat phenotypes. These pods are brutally wrinkled, heavily blistered, and often take on a scaly, reptile-like texture that lives up to the “Alligator” name. Ripening to a deep red with dark, shadowy undertones, the Alligator Reaper brings a devastating burn in the range of 1,500,000 to 2,500,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU) – with some phenotypes pushing even higher. The flavor is floral, fruity, and slightly smoky at first, but quickly gives way to an unforgiving, creeping fire that grips and doesn’t let go. Perfect for extreme hot sauce creations, powders, or fermenting into pure molten fury, this variety is for hardcore chiliheads and collectors.
