Fried Chicken Pepper is an unusual and highly sought-after superhot known for producing some of the most distinctive pods in the pepper world. Originally developed from a cross between the 7 Pot Bubblegum and Jay’s Peach Ghost Scorpion, this variety combines extreme heat, excellent flavor, and an unforgettable appearance.

The pods develop heavily wrinkled, blistered and irregular surfaces before ripening into shades of golden orange. Their rough, crispy-looking texture can make the peppers resemble small pieces of fried chicken, giving this variety its memorable name. Pod shapes can vary, with many developing chunky, twisted forms and deep folds.

Estimated at approximately 850,000–1,300,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), Fried Chicken Pepper delivers serious superhot heat. The flavor starts surprisingly bright and fruity, with noticeable citrus and tropical characteristics before an intense, long-lasting burn quickly takes over.

Plants are vigorous and productive, producing plenty of uniquely shaped pods that are impossible to overlook.
