The Golden Phantom Ghost is an exciting experimental cross between a Red Ghost Pepper (Bhut Jolokia) and a Giant White Moruga Scorpion, combining the elongated shape and signature flavor of the Ghost with the heavily textured appearance and impressive size of the Moruga lineage. The large, deeply wrinkled pods ripen to a brilliant golden-yellow and often develop a pronounced stinger-like tail. Expect blistering heat ranging from 800,000 to 1.2 million Scoville Heat Units (SHU), complemented by a fruity, slightly citrus-forward flavor with subtle floral notes before an intense, long-lasting burn takes over. Plants are vigorous, highly productive, and produce an abundance of striking pods throughout the growing season, making this variety an excellent choice for fresh super-hot sauces, powders, salsas, and growers looking for something truly unique.
