Super Khai

Super Khai is a highly productive Thai-type pepper originating from Vietnam. This compact Capsicum annuum produces an incredible number of slender, upright pods that grow in clusters throughout the plant. The peppers begin green and transition through shades of orange before ripening to a bright red. Pods typically reach around 1–2 inches long.

Super Khai is known for its exceptional production and can continue setting peppers throughout the growing season when regularly harvested. The compact growth habit also makes it an excellent choice for containers or growers looking to produce a large number of peppers in a relatively small space. 

Scoville Heat Units: Approximately 50,000 SHU

The peppers have a classic sharp chile flavor followed by a strong, clean heat. Super Khai is excellent for stir-fries, soups, curries, sauces, and other Asian-inspired dishes. The thin-walled pods also dry extremely well, making them an excellent choice for homemade pepper flakes, powders, and dried whole chiles.
