The Giant White Moruga Scorpion is a rare and eye-catching variant of the infamous Moruga Scorpion pepper, believed to be selectively bred from lighter phenotypes within the Capsicum chinense species. Its pale, creamy-white pods may look deceiving, but don’t be fooled—this pepper packs a vicious punch, averaging between 800,000 to 1,200,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). Known for its sharp, immediate heat and slightly tangy, floral flavor, it’s a favorite for making uniquely colored hot sauces, chili powders, and fermented blends. While exotic in appearance, it can be moderately challenging to grow, requiring consistent warmth, strong light, and care during fruiting.
