Yellow Purple Bastard  is a F2 and is a striking new cross between Black Bastard Peach and an unknown variety, selected for its unusual coloration and distinctive elongated pod shape. This F2 generation produces long, tapered peppers that develop beautiful shades of purple and magenta over creamy yellow to pale peach backgrounds, creating dramatic multicolored pods that really stand out on the plant.

The plants are equally impressive, displaying dark purple stems and heavily pigmented foliage that provide a beautiful contrast against the brightly colored pods. Fruits tend to be elongated with pointed ends and a lightly wrinkled surface, with the purple coloration becoming especially pronounced where pods receive strong sunlight.

Based on its Black Bastard Peach genetics, heat is expected to fall in the 400,000–600,000 Scoville Heat Unit (SHU) range, although heat levels may vary as this cross continues to develop. The pods can be used for hot sauces, powders, flakes, and other applications where both serious heat and unique coloration are desired.

Please Note: Yellow Purple Bastard is currently an F2 cross and is not yet stabilized. Variations in pod shape, color, plant characteristics, and heat should be expected.
